Energy Future Holdings Reaches Restructuring Agreement to Address Balance Sheet and Create Sustainable Capital Structure

DALLAS – Energy Future Holdings (EFH) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with certain of its key financial stakeholders to reduce its approximately $40 billion of debt, lower its annual cash interest costs, access significant additional capital and create a sustainable capital structure for the future. To implement this pre-arranged restructuring plan, Energy Future Holdings Corp. and certain of its subsidiaries, including Texas Competitive Electric Holdings Company LLC (TCEH) (the holding company for EFH's competitive businesses, including Luminant and TXU Energy) and Energy Future Intermediate Holding Company LLC (EFIH) (the holding company for EFH's regulated business, Oncor Electric Delivery Company), have filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Oncor is not a part of the Chapter 11 filing.

Luminant Builds Hope for North Texas Wounded Veteran With $5,000 Donation

DALLAS – As a proud veteran supporter and military-friendly employer, Luminant is helping provide the keys to a bright future for a North Texas family, donating $5,000 to Operation Finally Home. The nonprofit organization provides custom-made, mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans and will use Luminant's contribution to complete a home in Little Elm, Texas for U.S. Army Sgt. Stephen Jackel and his family.
