Dallas –
Luminant is moving forward with plans to demolish and reconstruct a section of the State Highway 322 overpass following last week’s incident.
Beginning this weekend, crews will start staging equipment in preparation for demolition. Actual work to remove the affected section of the overpass will begin early next week and is expected to last several days. Following demolition, construction crews will immediately begin the process of reconstructing the overpass.
Luminant is working with various contractors and suppliers to secure resources and complete reconstruction plans. While the overall timeline is still being finalized, the company is committed to expediting the process to minimize impact to residents and reopen the road as quickly and as safely as possible.
