08.2.2011 Written by

Dallas –

Luminant’s dedicated team of 4,000-plus employees worked diligently throughout ERCOT’s level two energy emergency alert today to generate much-needed electricity for the state of Texas.

All of Luminant’s baseload power plant units were available for generation, including two nuclear units, 12 lignite-fueled units and multiple peaking natural gas units.

Today marks the third consecutive day ERCOT has issued an energy emergency alert and the first time this summer the alert status has been upgraded to a level two.
