Veterans account for nearly 13 percent of the company’s current employee workforce

Luminant is looking for a few good men and women to fill more than 70 full-time jobs, including engineering, technician and management positions. On September 16, Luminant will once again join RecruitMilitary for a day-long career fair at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington to meet with potential candidates. This is Luminant’s eleventh RecruitMilitary event in three years.

The veteran-specific career fair is expected to draw hundreds of military veterans with a range of diverse professional backgrounds, many of which are ideal for a transition to the energy industry.

“Luminant is a proud supporter of our military, and we appreciate the service they provide abroad and at home,” said Darrell Jacobsen, Luminant staffing manager. “Veterans play an essential role at Luminant, accounting for nearly 13 percent of our employee base.”

RecruitMilitary is a veteran-owned firm that matches former military men and women with job opportunities. Luminant has hired roughly 25 current employees from previous RecruitMilitary career fairs.

“Our military employs a diverse, skilled workforce who can be a tremendous asset to Luminant’s team. We’re looking forward to meeting new potential hires,” Jacobsen continued.
